The Cannon Grand Opening

The comeback is always greater than the setback and you can't hold a good party down for long! We are happy to announce an updated Grand Opening date, Thursday, October 24th. We hope you will be able to attend.

The Cannon Leadership team wants to thank you again for choosing The Cannon as your entrepreneurial community here in Houston! We are thrilled to invite you to our Grand Opening, held Thursday, October 24th, from 4P – 9P. We’ve packed the details below so you are fully prepared for the fun evening ahead, and please let us know if you have any questions!

What to Expect

The event officially kicks off at 4P, where attendees will be invited to walk the space and interact with different activities. We invite you to join in on the fun! Be sure to grab a drink and snack on delicious bites provided by Seasons52 and Capital Grill, staying close to your stations. Below is a list of activations you can expect to see and a light program that we encourage you to attend at specified times.

4P | Event Begins

Take this time to man your space, grab a drink + bites. At some point in the evening, be sure to stop by our:

• Insperity Ping-Pong Championship game to conclude a week-long tournament

• Enjoy music + games in our courtyard

• Browse our “Mental Break Stations” that include PuppyLand, 5-Minute Breathing Exercises in our Health and Wellness Room, + 10-Minute Massage Bursts

• Watch the ongoing InnovationMap interviews of startups and their entrepreneurial journeys [InnovationMap is excited to offer short interviews for many of our startups.]

• Grab a delicious dinner from our lineup of some of Houston’s best Food Trucks or light bites provided inside!

7P | Ribbon-Cutting + Cannon Leadership Grand Toast

We will conduct our official ribbon-cutting on the Gallery Steps just inside the entrance. Our Cannon Leadership team will take a few moments to thank our partners and supporters, provide exciting upcoming news, and release the community to the rest of the evening’s program.

7:30P | LetsLaunch CrowdFund Live Raise

In partnership with LetsLaunch, a Houston-based CrowdFund platform, we are bringing you Houston’s first Live Raise. Make your way to our Event Center downstairs just near the entrance and sit in on pitches from promising startups. Watch as they raise funds onscreen in real-time with micro-investments from participants at the Grand Opening! 8:15P | Poker Night

Join in on Poker Night located in our lobby near the kitchen. Be sure to lean in on a wine tasting as you make your way to the tables! If you want to pass on Poker, feel free to continue enjoying the activations throughout the space!

9P | Grand Opening Concludes

Take your time as you wait for complimentary valet to bring your car up for an easy exit. We will have enjoyed having you at our Grand Opening!
